In collaboration with NYS-OMH, REACH President Peter S. Jensen, working with others while at Columbia University, developed a comprehensive guide composed to assist caregivers of children hospitalized in inpatient mental health facilities. By providing “tips” regarding what questions to ask of mental health providers and what to expect at various stages of the hospitalization process, this guide seeks to help demystify inpatient psychiatric care, improve caregiver-provider communication, and provide caregivers with sources of support.
