Child and Adolescent Mental Health Problems addressed with REACH programs
The REACH Institute seeks to bridge the gap between science and clinical practice by training clinicians, families, and all parties involved with a particular child to properly identify and validate key problem areas, adapt to those problems, empower the parties involved, and to then distribute, apply, and evaluate the success of a particular treatment. Child and adolescent mental health problems are effectively addressed through our psychotherapy training programs. All of these training programs are evidence based, and once mastered, are the best way to foster the emotional and behavioral health of children and adolescents in your health care practice. If you working with children suffering from behavioral or emotional problems, consider getting REACH training so that you can more effectively deal with emotional disturbances in children using evidence-based treatment methods.
As another method to help parents and families directly, the REACH Institute offers the Parent Empowerment Program (PEP). The PEP program prepares and trains parent advocates to help parents develop effective relationships with providers or teachers, and offers insight into the range of mental health problems experienced by children and adolescents. For parents who are new to “the system”, the PEP program can be key in helping parents get their children the help they need.
