Children with emotional and behavioral challenges can be helped now with already proven therapies. The challenge is that it takes an average of 18 years for medical innovations to move from the point of origin into wide acceptance and application by caregivers. This unacceptable science-to-service lag leads to avoidable health, financial and societal costs. We can do something about it—today! The Resource for Advancing Children’s Health (REACH) was founded to accelerate the acceptance and effective use of proven interventions that foster children’s emotional and behavioral health.

LOOKING FORWARD

REACH and its scientific partners are convinced that in less than two decades—starting today—we will be instrumental in cutting to 3 years the 15-20 year delay in getting new therapies to children. The ultimate result will be to reduce by one-third the number of children with significant mental health issues.
