Welcome to TheREACHInstitute.org, home of The REACH Institute (Resource for Advancing Children’s Health). The goal of the REACH Institute is inherent in its name: to equip every community with the necessary resources to REACH children with emotional and behavioral needs. From psychotherapy training programs to learning about child psychopharmacology, clinicians’ learning about and most importantly, applying recent scientific discoveries in real world health care settings is critical. This type of hands-on training is exactly what The REACH Institute offers. While training in evidence based child psychotherapy treatment is essential, psychotherapy is only one of the essential tools needed by clinicians. Please browse our website for various training opportunities. The REACH Institute provides training to pediatricians, family practitioners, child psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurse practitioners, school personnel and parent advocates, with all training programs centered on applying the latest scientifically established training procedures for children. From our Child and Adolescent Training Institute for Evidence-Based Psychotherapies (CATIE), our Parent Empowerment Program (PEP), our school-based programs, to our Pediatric Psychopharmacology Program (PPP), trainings offered by The REACH Institute are second to none with regard to quality, all of them advancing The REACH Institute’s important mission regarding emotional disorders in children. In addition to its mental health training programs, The REACH Institute is involved with a number of partners and projects to advance their cause. Take a moment to visit our current projects page to see what The REACH Institute is doing in your area. Child and adolescent mental health training program materials are available on the Resources for Families and Info for Professionals pages. These materials include books, many of which were authored by The REACH Institute’s Founder, Dr. Peter S. Jensen, as well as profiles of behavioral and emotional disorders and information on treatment options and therapies.
