Dan Callister is the chairman and founder of the National Campaign to Stop Violence, and founding director of the Kuwait-America Foundation. He is currently of-counsel with Squire, Sanders and Dempsey, and prior to that, served as a partner for 20 years in the law firm of Gibson, Dunn and Crutcher.

He received his JD degree from Columbia University School of Law, and an undergraduate degree in Economics from Brigham Young University. He and his wife Jan are the parents of five children.
